Kansas-lee epitomizes solo artistry complete; powerful, resonating songwriting, paired with her rhythmic guitar playing and a truly captivating voice. Her intimate performances have captivated audiences from her Canadian backyard, to California, England, and Spain. With a voice carrying hints of Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, and Susan Tedeschi, she holds her listeners in a familiar valley of soulful and soothing tones.
After self-producing three basement albums, she released her first studio album last year, called ”Ostara”. Her summer 2024 tour saw her welcomed back at many beloved BC folk festivals, and opening for Canadian folk legend, Valdy.

“From the first time I heard Kansas-lee sing I felt the truth in her voice.” – Elizabeth Goodfellow, drummer, supported Iron&Wine and Allison Russel, among many others.
“Intuitive heartfelt insightful songs with brilliant direct lyrics sung nigh on angelically, accompanied by pure and lovely guitar.” – Thomas P. Radcliffe, musician and concert attendee of her 2023 vancouver island tour.
“Kansas-lee was easily one of my favourites at the festival, her voice was one of a kind and her storytelling was excellent.” – Ettienne Siew, fellow performer at the 2023 Tiny Lights Festival in Ymir, BC.
